It's alright!

My beloved daughter,

Thank you for your first attempt to cook for me last night. After a brief discussion at lunch, you had decided to make penne for dinner. You carefully checked the recipes on the internet, screenshotted all details, then we went shopping for groceries. As you may noticed, I had spent most of my time observing but not interrupting your plan. While you weren't sure of what kind of cream you needed, you decided to call a friend for help. What a surprise!

At night, I decided to stick to my plan and left you alone in the kitchen. You put up your tablet, chopped all the ingredients and started to cook. "Dinner is ready!" you called, I was relieved that you weren't hurt or put up a fire for me after all. Although the table was a little messy with garlic, bacon and onion, two dishes were quietly well set on the table. Well done!

Yes, you weren't too happy about the meal and only ate a little. Yes, the eggs and sauce may be too watery, Yes, cooking may not as easy as you watch from the TV show. But it's alright! As far as I know you will learn the mistakes and make a better dish for me next time, right? To me, it is a great learning process too: to Trust, Wait and Be Calm.

Again, thank you for the wonderful time we have together!

Love

Mom
