500 Days of Summer

My Dearest Daughter,

Thanks for sharing one of your favourite movie with me last night. At the beginning of the movie, I was told that it wasn't a love story, so I would recommend it's a movie about relationship. The boy who acted as a greeting card writer, was in love with a girl called Summer who didn't want to name her boy as boy friend. However, the way she handled the relationship was awkward, she was flirting to him at the beginning, holding hands, kissed and took control over him. What was her thinking behind? If she was not a play girl, was she losing her soul or just simply lonely?

The poor boy was so lost after all, many sleepless nights and done nothing but drinking. He thought that he was lying to all his readers who were buying his greeting cards in all those years. He didn't believe in true love and soul-mate stories, at the end he even quitted his job. However, the story didn't end here, the girl was finally engaged and married with someone else. I knew that you felt bad about the experience of the poor boy, same to me. What is love anyway?

Will you feel love if mom just say I love you but have done nothing to you, not care about your feeling, your priority and not to be your good listener? Will you feel love if I don't talk to you or spend a good time with you but use most of my time at work or with my computer? Will you feel love if I don't share your dream and walk with you when you are struggling.  Remember in our conversation, a good relationship always start off from good friendship and commitment, this is the foundation of a lasting love story. I believe,  under His blessing, one day you will find your true love and learn to love one another!

Love
Mom
